Looking for a shack located close to the water-line in Candolim? Head to Sebastian D’souza’s Boat Shack, a popular beach shack hangout which has been around for years. It sprawls across a large area on the sands and you can sit under a beach umbrella or lounge around on a beach bed if you’re looking to get a sun tan. They serve excellent Tandoori kebabs here, so go for the juicy Chicken Tandoori (Rs.300 full), Reshmi Kebab (small pieces of chicken), etc, and also the superb Seafood Tandoori. We suggest you try a Pomfret Tandoori, the flat fish done to perfection. The spices are quite subtle and the red Tandoori masala adds just the right amount of flavour to the fish. They also have Fish/Prawns Biryani, which are flavoured rice dishes with masala prawns and fried fish.

The menu has extensive offerings of North Indian, Goan and also Chinese dishes, so it’s a good place to go if you’re part of a large group. But their forte is the European food and English pies, breakfast, sausages, with mushy peas, etc. The beef steaks are also big, juicy and succulent here, and get done the way you want them. Pastas, salads, soups, juices, etc. are also served here.
