In Goa, India’s first alcohol museum has opened its doors to’spirited’ fans.

Nandan Kudchadkar, a local businessman, founded the ‘All About Alcohol’ museum in Candolim village, North Goa. Hundreds of artefacts related to feni are housed there, including big, traditional glass vats used to keep the native cashew-based wine decades ago.

Kudchadkar, an antiques collector, told ANI that the museum’s goal was to make the world aware of Goa’s rich legacy, particularly the storey of feni, a strong native drink.

“When I first considered creating a concept like this, my first thinking was to see whether there existed an alcohol museum anywhere in the world. There isn’t a single spot on the planet where you can witness this kind of material related to booze. If you visit Scotland, you will notice that Scots are highly proud of their waters, drinks, and other amenities. Similarly, in Russia, people are proud to show off their beverages “he stated

“When we visit India, we have a new perspective on drinking. Following my intuition, I chose to establish India’s first alcohol museum here “he stated

According to Armando Duarte, CEO of the Alcohol Museum, “The Kaju Feni alcohol, which is on display here, is one of our most popular cocktails. This beverage is naturally fermented. Alcohol use was a mark of hospitality among Goans.”

Dr. Malhotra, a Maharashtra traveler who visited this location, commented, “The amount of data saved here is incredible. The place has me bewildered and awed. The amount of information they have maintained on display for visitors is incredible.”

The country’s first-ever booze museum has opened its doors in the country’s unofficial party capital. The museum is dedicated to the coastal state’s distinctive history and significance, and is known for its locally distilled coconut or cashew-based drink feni.

The one-of-a-kind museum, which is located in Candolim, displays a range of ancient bottles, glassware, centuries-old dispensers, and measuring equipment in order to teach travellers about the lesser-known history of the well-known local drink.
