Located on the busy NH 17 on the Panaji-Margao Road just before Margao city, Leonora’s is famous for Bacalhau, a Portuguese speciality fish preparation made by boiling cod fish in wine and spices. Another interesting dishes off the repertoire of exquisite Goan-Portuguese fare is the Bacalhau Croquet in the shape of a fish cutlet and a great accompaniment to the Fish Curry Rice served here. The Pork Vindaloo doesn’t get any better than that available here. For variety you can order Chicken Cafreal and Fish Caldein. They do a tongue-licking Beef Steak drizzled with a pepper and mushroom sauce with an egg sunny side up and served with either French Fries or mashed potatoes. In addition to this saucy, Goan-style Steak, they also do a European-style Steak called Chateaubriand. Their Chinese menu is pretty vast too. Inside the premises is an English-style pub called King’s Pub with wood paneling, posters and photos. Visitors can sit at King’s Pub for a few drinks and have their food served there itself.
