Just off the lobby at the Marriot is AZ.U.R, the ‘Transition Lounge’, which easily adapts to the time of the day and the guests’ needs. During the day a deli and lounge bar with Cupcakes special (daily cupcakes on offer) or their signature cakes caramel, raspberry and chocolate mousse on order, and at night….. Not only does this lounge change its ambience but also its meals to suit the needs and moods of its guest. The seating too varies depending on your choice. Comfortable sofas overlooking the Mandovi river if one is in a relaxing mode or a table seating if in café mode. But it’s not only the seating …the colours in the lounge change, from bright in the morning…yellows and oranges, and cool in the evening…blues to soothe tired senses. A fine selection of wines and spirits are available. Stand at the bar and watch the barman work his magic. Traditional favourites like Mojito, Martini share space with Goan feni-based cocktails (Strawberry or Cucumber Fenitini). And as the sun dips below the horizon it is not only the Chorizo pao and the chicken cafreal poi and the other snacky tit bits that storm the night – the lights dim and the space transitions into a cool, hip café, a perfect pre or post dinner venue for wine or dessert. And on Friday Nights its Jazz…the music enhancing more joie de vie to the spirit imbibed. Your mood will be set a buzz – their logic is simple…be as you are when you are at Az u r.
