Hidden in the countryside at Anjuna is this gem of a cafe, run by Michele (wife of Remo) who has donned an apron to turn out some exquisite French gastronomic delights . Moreover, Michelle is always at hand to help patrons decide on the food. To get to the cafe from the Flea Market road, take the lane towards German Bakery and soon you will come to this cozy hideout. Open for breakfast, lunch , snacks and dinner too, there is a limited menu on offer, with some specials of the day which change all the time. To be recommended is the superb Chicken Normandie, a chicken steak cooked French style in a rice creamy mustard sauce, served with perfect, creamy mashed potatoes. Or choose between the Pepper steak or the Beef steak simply dine in olive oil. Want to have some seafood? Try the Mustard Fish done with crushed mustard and olive oil, or perhaps a Fish in pestis sauce. You are caught in between meal? Drop in for a small bite – seasonal salads of seafood like calamari and pineapple, or snack on the spirits, order a glass of wine and let the stillness engulf you..but you will never feel deserted. Michelle has desserts listed too…her cafe has the right blend for relaxation and enjoyment.
