The commencement of Gadre Gaspar Dias Open 2025’s Open category matches witnessed Anil Kumar defeat last year’s semi-finalist, Maaz Khan, in Round 3 of the Open Men’s Singles. The tournament’s ongoing matches are being held at Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias courts in Miramar.
Initially, on a winning streak, Maaz Khan had triumphed over Rajaram Paiginkar in Round 1 and Eugene D’Souza in Round 2, with a score of 6-0 and 6-2, respectively, before being bested by Anil Kumar in the third round with a score of 4-6.
The Open Men’s Singles category has witnessed three rounds so far. Raviteja Damera trumped Aneesh Patil 6-3 and Shubham Shaw 6-4 in Rounds 1 and 2, respectively. Round 1 also had Anamay Mittal trouncing Bikrant Dewan 6-3.
Round 2 saw a fierce game between Rehaan Díaz and Ashwath D, with Rehaan emerging victorious 7-6 (8). Nishad Shevde vanquished Pankaj Chaddah 6-0. Vikramaditya Kohli and Omkar Islampure also defeated Prince De Silva and Omkar Sathe, respectively, with a score of 6-3.
The third round saw Eshaan Khadeer defeat Vinit Dixit 6-1 and Vikramaditya Kohli beat Vijay Venkateswaran 6-3.
Gadre Gaspar Dias Open 2025 is jointly organised by the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias and the Goa State Tennis Association, in association with the Gadre Group.
