Mid Oct to end Jul. Mon to Sat 8.30am-4.30pm, Dec to Feb Mon to Fri 6.30pm-10.30pm. Part traditional French café and part Goan fusion. This café is tucked into small village and is one of my favourite places to breakfast with a bowl of coffee, a chunk of baguette and delicious scrambled eggs. Run by Leo and Dayini, both French nationals, Baba au Rhum attracts ‘in the know’ luxury vagabonds and is popular with the local French community who enjoy the croissants, pain au chocolat, fruit salads and freshly squeezed juices. At night there are movie screenings on the rooftop terrace. The pizzas and organic salads are great, and cost between Rs. 200 and Rs. 300. They can be ordered in advance for take aways. Wi-Fi enabled for Rs. 100 an hour.
