Robbery attempt at a Bank of Maharashtra’s ATM in Panaji was foiled by the bravery of security guard Ranu Singh (27). The entire incident was caught on the CCTV camera.
The footage reveals a masked-man trying to escape. Singh in his attempt to stop the criminal is attacked with a hammer. During the scuffle the security guard is able to unmask the accused but he is knocked down in the process. The robber flees the scene with his bag while Singh, promptly on his feet, runs after him.
According to Singh, two people arrived on a bike. One of the robbers tried to break the ATM with his hammer. Singh upon hearing the hammering sound, acted in time and successfully stopped the robbery attempt. The security guard has lodged a complaint with the local police station against two unknown people for attempting the robbery.
