In the bustling streets of London, amidst the iconic red double-decker buses and historic landmarks, resides Caniggia Coutinho, a 30-year-old content creator hailing from the quaint village of Seraulim, South Goa. Caniggia’s journey from being an aspiring F1 driver to becoming a popular content creator is a tale of passion, determination, and a deep love for making people laugh.

Early Years and Career

Although a native of Seraulim, Caniggia spent most of his childhood in Vasco. As a child, he aspired to become an F1 race car driver. He had a strong passion for cars, especially modified cars. After completing his course in Automobile Engineering Technology from M.E.S College, Zuari Nagar, Caniggia worked as a car technician at a Chevrolet dealership in Vasco. After two years, he decided to move to London in search of greener pastures.

His Life in The UK

To get a job as a car technician in London, Caniggia had to study the trade all over again as the professional qualifications which he had secured in Goa were not recognised in the UK. Caniggia was reluctant to do this as he wanted to quickly make a living and settle down at a young age.

So, he took up a job at Heathrow Airport in 2014. After working there for two years, he returned to Goa for a brief period and got married to Elvisha Rodrigues, the love of his life. After getting married, he wanted to do a better job which he enjoyed doing. Since he had a passion for driving, he decided to undergo training to get his UK driving licence and drive the big red double-decker buses in the UK.

After completing his training and obtaining his UK driving licence, Caniggia finally got a job as a bus driver in 2016. To date, he drives buses in London. He says that he loves driving and that’s why he loves his job.

Enter the World of Content Creation

Caniggia’s journey as a content creator began during the lockdown when his penchant for making people laugh found a new platform. Inspired by Goan content creators like Desi Goan, Glendy Fernandes, and others, Caniggia decided to try his hand at making funny videos. His early success with mad lips and funny reels, especially the “Roast Mass” reel with over 750K views, propelled him into the limelight.

Content Style and Collaboration

Caniggia’s content revolves around family centric humour, presented in a simple and relatable way. His videos often touch on family issues, bringing joy and laughter to his audience. Collaborating mostly with his family, including his wife and parents, Caniggia has also joined forces with Goans in London, showcasing the camaraderie within the expatriate community.

Support System

The backbone of Caniggia’s success lies in the unwavering support from his family, especially his wife Elvisha. She has been with him since the time he was in 11th grade. Together, both of them have been navigating through life’s ups and downs and have come out even stronger than before. He also thanks God for all the Blessings in his Life. Despite the challenges of hate comments and the time constraints of being a young parent, Caniggia remains focused on the positive feedback and the joy his videos bring to his audience.

Role Models and Future Plans

Caniggia sees his family, as his ultimate role models. Their support and encouragement have been instrumental in his creative endeavours. Looking ahead, Caniggia plans to continue creating funny videos, with a special emphasis on preserving the Goan language and culture through Konkani content.
