Casa Lisboa is designed to give a feel of a colourful Portuguese house. Housed in Haathi Mahai, a resort in Cavelossim which stands between the Arabian Sea and the River Sal, you can either choose the air-conditioned interiors or eat alfresco on the patio at the restaurant. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the buffet breakfast offers a choice of both European and American breakfasts. Choose from a buffet lunch or order a la carte from the Portuguese Goan cuisine. Order the Sopa de Grossa, the traditional beef and tomato soup or perhaps the Camarao Peri Peri – pan seared medium prawns marinated with unique red spicy paste. The bar has a great choice of imported wine and spirits, so choose while you take a pick from the menu. Recommended is the Frango Cafreal – breasts of chicken cooked in the cafreal masala spice, or the spicy Goan Pork Vindaloo. End the meal with Tart au Tatin or the local Bebinca. It’s a great way to go the Portuguese way…a la Casa Lisboa.
