Change of Guard at CII Young Indians – Goa Chapter

At the recently concluded CII Young Indians Goa Chapter Annual Session, the following have been nominated as the Chair and Co-Chair of Young Indians – Goa Chapter respectively for the year 2023.

Dr Pratiksha N. Khalap

Dr. Pratiksha N. Khalap

Dr. Pratiksha N. Khalap, is a doctor by profession, completed graduation in homeopathic medicine and surgery (BHMS) from Shiroda, Goa and completed post-graduation in clinical research and management from Mumbai. Dr. Pratiksha has past clinical experience of working as a RMO in a multi-speciality hospital in Mapusa and has worked as the lead safety specialist for 10 years at a Mumbai-based MNC involved in clinical research and new drug development. Ex-rotaractor of Rotaract club of Mapuca. Was a member of Rotaract for over 8 years during which she held various positions in the board. Past president of Rotary club of Mhapsa Elite. She is the administrator of Mandrem College of commerce, Economics and Management, Mandrem. Also the Director of I&V Hotels Pvt. Ltd., Mapusa. In addition to this, Dr. Pratiksha is also the Mahila Congress Block President of Mapusa Block. Pratiksha has been the member of Young Indians (Yi) for over 8 years during which she has held various responsibilities as Vertical Chair for Masoom, Gift An Organ, membership and Yuva. She has been a resource person for Yi Goa and has conducted multiple sessions on Masoom, Gift an Organ and Yuva orientations. Also conducted train the trainer sessions for students of Goa Institute of Management. Hobbies include singing, dancing, painting, traveling, networking, and interacting with people. She loves to keep learning new things and has joined keyboard classes recently and secured 100 marks in the grade 1 theory examination and pursuing training in Kung fu for the past 2 years and has received blue belt in Kung-fu already. Has been very active in sports and cultural activities as a child and won multiple all-rounder awards as well. Represented Goa at nationals in hockey in the past. Her love for learning new things keeps her going. She says that through continued learning she can better herself every single day. She is happily married to Nikhilchandra Khalap who is businessman and past chair of Yi-Goa and is blessed with 2 sons, Ojas (7 yrs) and Om (3 yrs).

Mr. Shaibaz Sayed

Mr. Shaibaz Sayed

Shaibaz Sayed, has completed his diploma in pharmacy from the Goa college of pharmacy and then joined his family business. Eventually, he ventured on his own and set up Abcom Solutions which deals in computer hardware and Surveillance and caters to corporate clients like Asian paints, Indoco remedies, etc. He is also the proprietor of Abcom Retails which deal in home decor products. Shaibaz has been a member of Young Indians (Yi) for over 4 years during which she has held various responsibilities as Vertical Chair for Road safety and Climate change. He is also a part of Rotary Club of Miramar. Shaibaz enjoys meeting new people and traveling. Has been very active in sports and cultural activities as a child and represented his School at nationals in basketball in the past. He believes in the ideology that change is the only constant and is always ready to learn new things. He loves to meet new people and make new friends. He is married to Diyana Agha who is a media professional and is blessed with a daughter Samaira Sayed (7yrs).
