With the increase in the number of cyber security threats and concerns, the department of Information and Technology is in the process of setting up of a cyber cell in the State, which will monitor the Cyber threats in Government websites.
In the last four years, Seventeen websites of Goa’s Government departments were hacked. Thankfully the hackers had only defaced the front page, while leaving the internal data intact. Although the state has not formed any Cyber Security Policy where the Government websites as well as the State Data Center is concerned. Various security guidelines laid by the central government are being implemented.
