Why rent a motorcycle or a car in Goa, when you can go the green route – and rent a cycle? Not only do you contribute to a cleaner and greener environment, but it’s also a healthy way to spend your holiday in Goa. If you think that’s a good idea, well you’re not the only one. A cleaner and greener form of eco tourism is the reason why Samarth Kholkar and Sandeep Mukherjee came together to create Arcis Clean Energy Private Limited, the company behind b:live cycle tours.
In partnership with the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), b:live offers pedal-assist cycles which come with a throttle feature that meet the needs of the conventional tourists and adventurous explorers. You can pedal the cycle when you want, or enjoy a comfortable ride by twisting the throttle. The e-bike can travel 50 km on a single charge and can reach a top speed of 25 km/h. It is equipped with GPS trackers and electronic disc brakes.
There are a number of interesting tour packages that one can opt for, which include rides through the old Portuguese quarter of Fountainhas, the beautiful untouched island of Divar, or even the capital city of Panjim. Each tour is led by a trained captain, and with three different types of bikes to choose from, you can explore various comfort levels while exploring Goa. “Goa has a lot more to offer than the sun, sand, beaches and Portuguese mansions that take you back in time. The experiential tours curated by b:live allows tourists to soak in the milieu of authentic Goan culture and history” said Samarth Kholkar, CEO & Co-Founder, Arcis Tours Pvt Ltd.
Tours start at just Rs. 1500, with pick-up points centrally located in Panjim city. For more information on tour bookings, pricing, and schedules, you can visit the b:live website at www.blive.co.in.
