This Earth Day, IHCL, Goa marked the occasion with the achievement of EarthCheck Certification across most of its hotels in the state. Taj Exotica Resort & Spa in Benaulim; Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Spa in Sinquerim and Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa in Candolim achieved the Platinum Certification representing 14 continuous years of social and environmental impact by ensuring sustainable tourism management practices.

Additionally, various initiatives were organized at the hotels for staff and guests to raise awareness and bring to light environment-friendly alternatives for a greener future. Some of the activities included creative reuse of waste, sapling plantation, nature walk, informative session on benefits and misconceptions of adopting electric vehicles by Tata Motors, and donating re-usable stainless steel tiffin containers to El Shaddai Charitable Trust in Candolim and Calangute.
