Goa Center for the Arts – Sunaparanta in collaboration with the Institute of Contemporary Indian Art, Mumbai will organize ‘Paridrishy’, ‘State of the Spirit’, an exhibition of rare works by one of India’s most celebrated master artist, Ram Kumar.
Goa’s renowned artist and Padmashri awardee, Laxman Pai will be inaugurating the function at Sunaparanta, Panaji at 6:30 p.m today, August 31.
Raj Kumar was born in the year 1924 and studied at the Sharada Ukil School of Art, New Delhi. He was India’s leading modernist, and part of the first generation of post colonial Indian artists and contemporary to the likes of M F Hussain, Jehangir Sabavala and S H Raza.
The exhibition will remain open for the public till September 22. Visit Sunaparanta from Mondays to Saturdays between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m and on Sundays from 11:00 a.m to 5:00p.m.
