Fashion is a big part of Indian society. Whether it’s a fashion-related event or just a Page3 party, the pictures say it all. Everyone who is anyone or even those wanting to be someone will be there, dressed from head to toe in whatever the latest fashion. But while most of it is wearable, there are also times when the outfits are completely outrageous and probably not really suitable for any kind of party. In these cases, it is just a statement of how innovative the designer can get with his designs. Keeping all this in mind, Goa gets to be a part of Glitterati 2018, a fashion collective aimed at nurturing and encouraging new talent in the fashion world. It’s happening on 11th November at Bay 15 in Odxel, Dona Paula.
The fashion world is growing
Forbes India states that the global consumer spending on fashion crossed US$1.5 trillion in 2015. In India, the fashion retail market is itself set to grow to US$115 billion by 2026. But despite these statistics, India still has to catch up quickly if they want to be a part of this growth and share in the gains. Which brings us to Glitterati 2018.
Curated by Pixie World Creations, Glitterati 2018 is aimed at a mix of both established designers as well as new talent looking to make a name for themselves in the fashion world. The event happens at Bay 15, Odxel, Dona Paula on 11th November with designers from across Goa, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, and Chennai showcasing their talents on this single platform. To carry on this endeavor, Pixie World Creations will curate shows like these every 4-6 months, ensuring that Goa makes an even bigger name for itself as a lifestyle destination.
