Some great news for attendees and fans of India Bike Week 2017. ‘Fast’ Freddie Spencer is going to attend the event that is being held in Goa early next month. Freddie Spencer is a racing expert who has won many international accolades, some even exclusive to hold his prestige. He is the only racer in the world to have won the 250-cc and 500-cc world championships in the same year.
The Biking Legend
Freddie Spencer was born in 1961 in Shreveport, Louisiana in the USA. He was a racing prodigy who began biking at the age of 4, competing in dirt bike events near his hometown in Louisiana.
Aged 10 he held titles in five US states; by 13 he was competing in 100 dirt-track races a year, winning the lion’s share and learning the art of drifting the rear and going fast and loose. He turned pro at 16.
At 18, he was already a proclaimed champion, winning the 500 cc Grand Prix and was subsequently signed to the Honda factory. At the age of 21, he won his first premier-class world championship, making him the youngest ever premier-class world champion.
‘Fast’ Freddie will be hosted by Bike India and the legendary rider will be present at the Bike India Stall during the event. People have a unique opportunity to get a copy of Spencer’s book -Feel: My Story – signed by the legend himself.

The Iconic 5th Year of the India Bike Week
India Bike Week welcomes over 280 Biking Clubs from all over India into the IBW family and will cheer them into the Festival with their Bike Colours and Parades. A Flat Track for Racing has been built and an Enduro Track for training them.
For two days in November, IBW will be the home of world biking. With the greatest names in Bike Design and Manufacture, the rarest Biker and accessory shopping, with music, barbecues, bikini bike wash, beer gardens, training academies, track racing and much, much more, IBW is 10 acres of Biker Paradise.
The team has left no stone unturned to celebrate the 5th Year of IBW in 2017. They have been developing the Mod Bike Displays and Biker Build Off competitions to showcase the greatest names in two-wheeler design for the last 6 months. The world’s fastest woman on Two Wheels – the incredible Leslie Porterfield will also grace the India Bike Week.
