If you haven’t been living under a rock, there’s a good chance you’ve watched at least one TED Talk in your life if not more. In fact, there’s an even better chance that after watching that TED Talk, you were inspired to do something better with your life, or inspired to reach out and make a difference in your community. Because is what TED Talk is all about – Ideas Worth Spreading. TED is a nonprofit organization that shares these ideas in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or fewer) delivered by today’s leading thinkers and doers. Since most people are unable to be a part of this epic annual event that happens at TEDs headquarters in Vancouver, independent events are held around the world featuring inspiring stories form locals. These self-organized events operate under the banner of TEDx. Here in Goa, get ready for TEDxPanaji 2020.

TEDxPanaji steadily approaches half a decade

Currently, in its fourth year, TEDxPanaji is all set to inspire Goa yet again with a stellar lineup of speakers on Sunday, March 8, 2020, from 3 pm to 8 pm, at Kala Academy. The event promises to showcase stimulating ideas by speakers and performers from diverse fields, from across Goa and India. TEDxPanaji is organized annually by a team of ardent and hardworking volunteers led by the prolific Dattaprasad Shetkar, and is a platform that believes in the power of ideas to change the world. Within 18 minutes, each speaker will present their unique idea, live, in front of an elite audience of Goa.

The theme for TEDxPanaji 2020 is ‘RUSH’, which signifies the emotional unrest that precedes powerful action. The event hopes to capture and spread the power of emotions that led to impactful actions & achievements of the speakers, sparking deeper discussions and connections among the audience. This year, eleven speakers will deliver talks/performances on diverse topics such as ‘protest through art’, ‘cancer survivors’, ‘robotics’, ‘waste management’, ‘bodybuilding’, ‘rhythmic gymnastics’, ‘drones’ etc.
