Fr. Rob Galea returns to perform at concert in Goa this December

~ Fr. Rob Galea’s much-anticipated concert is scheduled for December 7 and 8, 2024, at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Taleigao. 

~The event coincides with the 18th exposition of the sacred relics of St. Francis Xavier at nearby Old Goa, adding to the significance of the occasion.

Renowned singer, songwriter and Australian Catholic priest Fr. Rob Galea, celebrated globally for his contemporary worship music, will perform live for the second year running in Goa this December. 

The much-anticipated concert is organised by CCR TV and will be held on December 7 and 8, 2024, at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Taleigao. The event coincides with the 18th exposition of the sacred relics of St. Francis Xavier at nearby Old Goa, adding to the significance of the occasion.

Sharing the stage with Fr. Rob during the two-day concert are renowned Goan musicians Sonia Shirsat, the Band of Priests, and YU4C Goa.

Fr. Rob Galea, known globally for his ability to blend spirituality with music, uses his talent to inspire intimacy with God and spread messages of love, hope and peace. His performances have captivated audiences worldwide, from Australia and Europe to North America and Asia. Fr. Rob’s upcoming India tour, which comprises Mumbai (November 30 and December 1), Bengaluru (December 3 and 4) and Goa (December 7 and 8), will revolve around the theme of his 2014 album, Something About You

“We are thrilled to host Fr. Rob Galea in Goa for this unique worship experience. His music transcends borders and speaks directly to the soul,” said Merwyn Rodrigues, President of CCR Goa Media and chief coordinator of the event.

A Maltese-born priest, Fr. Rob overcame significant personal challenges in his youth, including addiction and depression, before finding his calling in faith and music. 

In anticipation of the concert, Fr. Rob shared, “I look forward to seeing you all in Goa for a memorable time of worship, music and reflection. Bring your family, bring your friends and come with an expectant heart. Together, we’ll create moments to cherish for a lifetime as God moves our hearts.”

Fr. Rob has eight music albums and numerous global performances to his credit, in Sydney, Los Angeles, Melbourne and Vancouver. He is also a recognised author and his book, Breakthrough, is set to be adapted into a Hollywood movie slated for release in 2025.

The concert promises to be a spiritual and musical extravaganza in Goa’s cultural calendar.
