Every year the Goa International Jazz Live Festival (GIJLF), brings to Goa the jazz feel with up-tempo, funky celebration of new-age jazz. This year it is going to take place on the 26th and the 27th of November 2016.
GIJLF is a musical extravaganza that will have live, peppy music across genres to keep you on your feet. Where else would you rather be? It’s time for some funky celebration and to have a fun crazy jazz experience. Children up to the age of 10 can walk into the festival for free. However children below the age of 16 have to be accompanied by an adult guardian at all times.
‘GIJLF’ mixes punk, hip-hop, R&B and other forms of music with jazz to come up with tunes that appeal both to the ears and feet. This year, as part of Jazz India Circuit, Teamwork Arts put in its effort to promote jazz across India.
Goa will host eight revolutionary experimental bands from seven different countries. It will take place at Stone Water Eco Resort @Bogmalo from 2pm onwards.
The Jazz India Circuit is an endeavour by Teamwork Arts to spread the word and sound of jazz across the country through various concerts that span the spectrum of the fascinating genre. The frothy, experimental jazz celebration will symbolize the spirit of the Goa International Jazz Live Festival.
The edgy and experimental nature of the music will speak to the ears, the feet and the soul. Something to take you away from the classic jazz components.
The various bands include Hely, DMT Jazz Trio, Gael Horellou Identite, Yuichiro Tokuda’s Ralyzzdig, Tam De Villiers Quartet, World Service Project, Malika Tirolien and Steve Sequeira Ensemble.
