The Canonization of Mother Teresa which is going to be held in the Vatican City on September 4 will be attended by Archbishop of Goa and Daman Filipe Neri Ferrao.
The 12 member official Indian delegation (led by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj) will attend the canonization ceremony. Besides, our very own Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’souza and Secretary General of Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas were given clearances to attend this historic event.
Mother Teresa will be declared a saint of the Roman Catholic Church and was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 2003. The Nobel sister spent 45 years serving the poor and sick on the streets of Kolkata.
