Gujarat Lodge is a restaurant cum sweet mart cum takeaway joint offering pure veg Gujarati Jain fare since 1935. The traditional Gujarathi Thali priced at Rs.80 is just about average. Snacks like Papdi Chaat, Palak Pakodi, Aloo Tikki and Bombay Sandwiches are done very well,While the cheese Corn Grill is a specialty item here. The Sweets and savouries section is the main draw, with pedas, samosas, and so on drawing crowds by the horde and flying off the shelves in no time. The beverages at Gujarat Lodge are quite unremarkable. Such fare is not available elsewhere in Goa.
