Student influencer Mario Pimenta (@Mario_sarkaar on Instagram) has kicked off the Kindness Chain Challenge to mark the New Year, aiming to foster stronger community connections in Goa.

Participants are encouraged to help someone in need and ask that person to “pay it forward” by helping three others, encouraging them to do the same, creating a chain of kindness.

The initiative encourages individuals to adopt kindness as a New Year’s resolution, promoting unity, compassion, and support for others. Mario emphasized the importance of helping those in need and speaking up for the voiceless, urging everyone to pay it forward to create a lasting impact on the lives of Goans.

The challenge is inspired by the popular concept from the movie “Pay It Forward” and “Jai Ho”, where each act of kindness leads to a ripple effect, encouraging others to do the same. Mario’s vision is to create a strong network of goodwill that strengthens the community by building meaningful connections.

Reflecting on the past year, Mario expressed gratitude to the people of Goa for their support of his previous initiatives, such as the “Navaratri Connect” and “All Goa Secret Santa Challenge”. He also thanked the media for amplifying his message.

2024 has been a pivotal year for Mario, marking significant milestones in his journey as an influencer. He mentioned how the year provided him with invaluable experiences, including volunteering at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and organising the “Filmbuster” media event, alongside other roles that contributed to his personal growth and expanding influence.

Mario is now inviting everyone to be a part of the Kindness Chain Challenge, urging them to take a step forward in making a positive difference. “The idea is simple: take a step forward so that someone else may take a step forward when they need it the most,” he stated.

This heartfelt initiative is open to all, and Mario hopes it will inspire a wave of kindness throughout Goa, making the community stronger and more united in the year ahead.
