Don’t you just love the concept of a multi-cuisine restaurant? You find pretty much everything under one roof. One gets to experience and taste a little bit of everything from all over the world. Not only does this make for a tasty trip, but it also introduces you to different cultures. With a similar concept, pleasant ambience and a plethora of mouth-watering delicacies from various cuisines, comes a restaurant at Siridao simply titled Mi Casa.
‘Mi Casa’ means ‘My House’ in Portuguese, and like its namesake, serves delicious home-style food. This was the one thought that Anthony Vales, the owner of the multi-cuisine restaurant had while beginning with this enterprise. Anthony had first ventured into the bakery business by starting St. Lawrence Bakery at Agacaim in the mid-1980’s. The bakery was a first of its kind in the village. Later in 2006, he opened Mi Casa. The restaurant has been serving its esteemed guests for the last 13 years.
What’s cooking?
Being a multi-cuisine family restaurant, Mi Casa offers a lot more than any other restaurant around. Its elaborate menu consists of Goan, Chinese, Continental, and many other cuisines. The most ordered or perhaps the speciality of the restaurant is the Beef Rolado, a classic Goan recipe of thinly-sliced beef stuffed with Goan choris. The Tandoor dishes are also favourites at Mi Casa. Not forgetting their roots, the restaurant serves authentic Goan dishes. The eatery also has an attached open bar that serves cocktails, mocktails and much more.
Mi Casa is not only a restaurant but also a banquet hall which is located on the first level of the eatery. The banquet hall has a seating capacity of around 200 guests and is ideal of occasions like birthday parties, conference meetings, family gatherings or any other event. The hall has a separate dining room for buffet arrangements. It’s spacious and very accommodating.
Apart from all of this, the restaurant also has a bakery called Oven & Fresh. The bakery was started three years ago and has since been serving fresh breads, puffs, rolls, and Goan sweets to its customers and the neighbouring locals. The bakery also engages in providing food boxes during parties and church masses.
A delightful experience…
Mi Casa is one place that caters to everyone’s needs. With its pristine ambience, it definitely makes a meal a beautiful experience. The restaurant has hosted many high-end guests from different cities and hopes to see more having a delightful time.
