A family venture between Elaine and Jerusha Nathan, the mother-daughter duo, who always dreamed of making a mark in the food industry. With a degree in Home Science at Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai, Elaine has always been passionate about cooking. Jerusha too, holds a degree in Culinary Arts from the prestigious ITM-IHM, Oshiwara, Mumbai. Jerusha’s forte, however, is Italian fare – Pasta, Pizzas etc. Fulfilling this longtime dream of theirs, Nathan’s Oven was conceived.
While interviewing Jerusha and her dad, Joshua Nathan, who were present at the venue, Joshua, the pillar behind this venture, gave all credit to Brisco Lobo and Hazel of AJ Supermarket. In the words of Joshua, “I would like to say a big thank you to Brisco Lobo and Hazel, without whose support this venture would not have been possible”. They have not only allowed Jerusha and Elaine to fulfill their dreams but also encouraged budding Goan entrepreneurs to generate employment in the State. “Hungry Kya?” reads..”Are you Hungry?”
Right from food like Xacuti, Cafreal, Vindalho to Rolls, Puffs and Pizzas, Nathan’s Oven has it all. Grab a dessert after your meals too. There’s Caramel Custard, Belgian chocolate Donuts or Berliners – the stuffed option made with either chocolate custard or blueberry jam. Not to forget the Pure Belgian Chocolate Brownies….they are sinfully yummy!

For the sweet-toothers:
Donuts – Chocolate Glaze: Rs.50 each
Stuffed Donuts (Berliners), stuffed with either chocolate custard or blueberry jam: Rs.60 each
Brownies-Belgian Chocolate Fudge: Rs.80 each
Creamy Caramel Custard: Rs.120 a portion, (serves two)
Pizzas
Veg. Pizzas include zucchini, broccoli, baby corn, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, capsicum, onion, mushroom, paneer…you can fashion one to your taste and liking: Rs.319 for a 19” Pizza
Non-Veg. Pizzas include pepperoni, lamb, chicken or pork, ham, bacon or chicken salami – the choice is yours: Rs.349 for a 19” Pizza.
Bread Rolls
Two variants are Chicken with mayonnaise and the mildly spicy Tandoori Chicken. These rolls are stuffed to the brim with fillings and are a ‘meal in themselves’.
Savouries
Puffs include beef, chicken, and prawn. They come with extra stuffing to give you a mouthful in every bite: Rs.25 each
Main course meals
Xacuti has three variants, chicken, mutton or mushroom. Xacuti is a Goan specialty. Preparing this dish is tedious. The masala is hand-picked by Joshua himself and finely ground to give you a taste of home.
Chicken Xacuti : Rs.140 per portion
Mutton Xacuti: Rs.160 a portion
Mushroom Xacuti: Rs.120 a portion (portions can serve two persons)
Vindalho, another typical Goan speciality comes in two variants – Chicken and Pork.

Says Jerusha, “ Our products are 100% natural. We use 100% Italian mozzarella and our Pizzas are Fire Stone-baked. We only use fresh dairy products like cream, milk and eggs. Everything is fresh and tasty.”

Nathans Oven is situated in the village of Sangolda, on the CHOGM Road in North Goa. It is just outside AJ Supermarket, at the side of Raj Exotica.
Timings: Nathans Oven is open on all days of the week except Sundays.
