The Nunes siblings, Aishwarya and Siddharth, blazed into the Open Mixed Doubles Quarterfinals at the ongoing Gadre Gaspar Dias Open 2025, defeating daughter-father duo Tvisha and Anup Sardesai 6-3.
The tournament, which is currently taking place at the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias courts in Miramar, also saw the Open Ladies Singles pre-quarterfinals take place. Natasha Palha Soares and Andrea Almeida beat Tithee Bhoomkar and Hazel Fernandes 6-0, respectively. Trisha Vinod swiftly dealt with Aastha Dua 6-1, Nishi Sequeira overcame Anjali Philip 6-2, and Prapthi Shetty and Raisa Mergulhao vanquished Nidhi Sequeira and Bhakti Koparde 6-3, respectively.
The pre-quarterfinals of the Open Men’s Singles saw Sreyas Prasad trounce Husen Shaikh 6-1. Round 2 of the Open Men’s Doubles had Saiel Gajinkar/Jay Pawar trump Rishabh Beria/Krishna Volvoikar 6-1.
The Open Men’s Singles quarterfinals, comprising a match format of ‘best of three’ mini sets, had Eshaan Khadeer emerge victorious over Nishad Shevde 4-1, 4-1; Sreyas Prasad defeated Mano Chhabra 4-3, 4-1; and after a hard-fought showdown, Vishal triumphed over Ashley De Sa 1-4, 4-1, 4-1.
