Overlooking both the pool and the courtyard, Pickled Mango at the Resort Rio offers creative cuisine from all over the world including authentic Indian dishes. A simple but elegant setting on the ground floor, the restaurant offers a daily buffet or a choice of a la carte to its diner. Open for breakfast, Lunch and dinner the preparation with its different marinades and spices pickles the the imagination and tickles the taste buds, a place recommended you visit when you are entertaining a business associates or relatives from abroad. Classy and elegant with a fine dining tag of a star with Kebab- Murgh Kalmi Kebab or go ‘Conti’ with Beef Burgandy (chunks of beef tenderloin cooked in burgundy sauce and served with pilaf rice). Vegetarians do not get disheartened- the Mushroom and Peas Xacutti (popular vegetables cooked in the roasted spiced Xacuti). Go Oriental with Balinese Pot Chicken-the tender pieces of chicken are casserole cooked with crushed mustard, lemongrass and green chilies.

Take a sip of the Barman’s specials, a Caipirinha but one is with a difference- the Thaipirinha. Its is a rediscovery of Thailand (fresh lemon, Brown sugar, cachaca,) Want something different for the mains? Travel further south-the Malabar Meen Curry, the traditional Kerala style fish curry thickened with coconut and flavoured with green chilly and mustard.or perhaps something continental? The Grilled Pork Chops with apple sauce.. grilled to perfection. And while we are on the subject of apples, should you need a cocktail refill try the Sour Green Apple Martini, a mixture of green apple with Smirnoff. It’s raining apples not mangoes- for dessert order the Apple Pie with ice cream, the paste flavoured with cinnamon before being baked and then served with ice cream.
