One of the better shacks on main Calangute beach, on the right side, Planet Goa has real antique-type armchairs on which you can laze around on the sand. The food too is quite good here, and you get to choose from an extensive menu which features most of everybody’s favorites. In Indian food, we recommend the Tandoori grills, specially of Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Tikka, seekh kebabs and the seafood – of which you can order all kinds, from pomfrets, king prawns and crabs, all quite good. Check the prices first if you’re watching your budget. It’s a good place to have European-style steaks, pastas and salads on the beach and you can also try some of the seafood steaks of tuna, kingfish and shark in barbeque sauce or lemon garlic. They serve great Goan Fish Curry Rice and Prawn Curry Rice, besides other Goan specialties like Pork Roast and Pork Sorpotel, as also decent Chinese. It’s a popular place with charter tourists because of its slightly more refined ambience.
