Postcards to Plates is back for its second edition, bringing another exciting blend of global flavours and heartfelt stories. Hosted at Aurawell Cafe, an ingredient-focused haven in Goa, this edition will run from January 17 to 19, 2025, during the café’s operating hours from 9 AM to 8 PM. Guests are invited to explore recipes from postcards that have traveled across the globe and savour dishes with a local twist.
This edition’s curated recipes include:
● Butterbeer (Germany): A rich, frothy beverage with a coffee-inspired twist, blending the magic of Harry Potter nostalgia with the barista expertise of Aurawell Cafe.
● Mushroom and Goat Cheese Panini (USA): A hearty, flavourful sandwich that swaps truffle oil for balsamic vinegar while preserving the same earthy, rich tasting notes.
Both recipes come from Heena Shah’s collection of over 1,000 postcards, written to her by strangers from over 100 countries. Each postcard is a story—a shared moment, a recipe, or a heartfelt connection brought to life through food.
“This edition is inspired by my love for café-style comfort food,” says Heena. “I remember being blown away by Butterbeer at the Harry Potter section in Universal Studios Japan, and mushrooms with goat cheese has always been a simple yet satisfying classic.”
