The death of the priest-turned-social activist remains a mystery. In Novemer 2015, Fr. Bismarque Dias went missing just before he could organize a series of protest against controversial real estate developments in Goa.

His body was found floating in the Mandovi River near St. Estevam. The investigation was initially taken up by local police, however due to the pressure by various sections; the case was handed over to the Central Crime Branch.

A social activist group had filed a petition seeking that the High Court intervene in the matter and transfer the investigation from the Goa police to the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigations).

The High Court of Bombay in Goa has recently directed the Crime Branch to submit investigation papers in the death case of Fr. Bismarque Dias. Will he finally get justice? And more importantly, will Goa become safer when the truth comes out?

Let’s protect our homeland from those trying to destroy it.
