Panaji, September 2023- Registration for South Asia’s biggest interdisciplinary art extravaganza, the Serendipity Arts Festival (SAF) 2023, is underway for the sixth edition of the event, which is scheduled to be held in Panaji from December 15-23.
Art enthusiasts can start registering for the festival which will provide them with access to all events, workshops and performances on the official website of the Serendipity Arts Festival (SAF).
Since its inception, the nine-day festival has been free for all attendees, ensuring participation from all walks of life and ages. While this philosophy will always remain at the heart of the festival, the event this year will host a few select ticketed performances, as the performance areas have a limited seating space.
Registration for the ticketed performances will open in November and those registering for the festival early will be the first to know about the ticketed performances. These tickets are priced at a nominal fee to ensure these specially curated performances are accessible to everyone.
“Registration for the sixth edition of the SAF is now open. The nine-day immersive art extravaganza this year will continue to host great and emerging artists from South Asia, whose work can be a source of inspiration for our audiences. We have also introduced ticketed shows this year, because some projects and performances have limited seating arrangements,” says Smriti Rajgarhia, Director, Serendipity Arts Foundation & Festival.
Spanning across disciplines of the performing, visual, culinary arts and craft, this year’s curators for various sections will be marrying the rich tapestry of traditional and folk cultures with the contemporary idiom.
SAF has consistently pushed the boundaries of creativity, opening doors to new artistic realms and collaborations over the years. This year, the programmes will unfold in 16 venues across Panaji, including important cultural spaces such as Nagalli Hills Ground, the PWD Complex, Old GMC and the Art Park, among others.
Recently, the SAF 2023 organisers unveiled a video montage taking viewers on a visual journey of the coming together of people, craft and creativity over the years during the event, which has emerged as a dynamic forum for ideas and cross-collaborative work in South Asia and other parts of the world, thriving in an atmosphere of inclusivity, acceptance and togetherness.
