For those who would like a peek into the lost identity of Goa, a place where spices are abundant and the air is soaked with its aroma. To sit out in the open after a tour of the gardens…yes, the lunch experience here is different from having lunch in the tourism-dominated coastal towns of Goa. Located on the Belgaum-Ponda highway, this sprawling farm believes in greeting visitors at the entrance with a traditional aarti and a garland of flowers and then serving a hot and healthy Lemon Grass Tea. Visitors have the option of walking around the spice plantation that grows various herbs, spices and fruits that go into the food or simply starting on the lunch spread of rice, Fish Curry, Fried Prawns, Chicken Xacutti and vegetables, all cooked in traditional clay on wood fire. There’s a traditional dance troupe that performs Goan dances as you eat and drink. You can try the pure cashew Feni here, with an option of beer too. Rural Goa depicted in more ways than one.
