Session on State and Central Government Jobs held at Don Bosco College

On March 8, 2025, the Placement and Career Counselling Cell of Don Bosco College organised an informative session on ‘Opportunities in State, Central Government and Central Police Force Jobs’ for the Department of Physical Education. The session was conducted by Mr Kundanlal Parganiha from The BODHI Academy, who shared valuable insights into various government job opportunities and the competitive examinations required to secure them.

Mr Parganiha emphasised the lack of awareness among Goan students regarding UPSC and GPSC examinations. He highlighted the number of unfilled vacancies in various government sectors and encouraged students to explore the vast array of career opportunities available to them. He elaborated on the different competitive examinations that students could attempt to secure prestigious positions in government services.

During his talk, Mr. Parganiha provided detailed information about career opportunities in agencies like the Central Police Force and Paramilitary Forces. He explained the eligibility criteria, selection process and the level of preparation required to qualify for these positions. His insights into the challenges and dedication needed to succeed in these exams provided students with a realistic perspective on their career aspirations.

A significant portion of the session focused on job opportunities specifically available for students pursuing a Bachelor of Physical Education degree. Mr Parganiha informed students about the various career paths open to them, including those under the sports quota and other specialized recruitment channels. He emphasised the importance of leveraging their skills and qualifications to secure positions in government sectors.
