Goa government will soon introduce an app through which consumers in Goa will be able to pay their electricity bills. Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) has been asked to make the app by the state electricity department.
“We have appointed Tata Consultancy Services to develop an app so that customers can get the bill on the mobile and the bill can be paid from the mobile itself. The online system already exists but with the app, it will be much easier for customers,” Goa Power Minister Pandurang Madkaikar told ToI.
The power minister also added that although Goa had sufficient power supply but due to old and inadequate infrastructure the state is facing various problems in power supply.
Madkaikar informed that electricity department has taken over from Goa Electronic Limited (GEL) the responsibility of generating bills and henceforth the bills will be delivered to the consumer during the beginning of the month.
