Start-up techies embrace Goan shores

How many times have you heard people talking about the brain drain in Goa? Talented Goan youth who do not have the opportunity to secure jobs in their particular field, decide to go and work in a neighbouring state, leaving behind their family and friends.

At the turn of the new century, the millennium bug sparked off a technological job frenzy in cities such as Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The IT industry in India has grown in leaps and bounds since then, with Silicon Valley investors keeping a close eye hoping to synergize with the next big breakthrough.

Recently, ItsGoa outlined in this article why Goa’s Information Technology dreams never really materialized. Despite this fact, there are still exciting start-ups hidden away in nooks and crannies across the state.
