Do you think the yoga teacher was to be blamed alone?

The victim complained to the police that the yoga teacher allegedly sexually assaulted and molested her.

A 38-year-old yoga teacher allegedly raped a 32-year-old American woman on the pretext of giving her a ‘Tantrik massage’ in a remote village. The incident took place in Goa’s Pernem taluka, police said on Tuesday.

However, following the complaint lodged by the woman, Pernem police arrested the accused and identified him as Pratik Kumar Agarwal.

“The accused has been arrested and produced before a local court which has remanded him in police custody for eight days,” Parab said.

Nowadays everyone wants to stay fit and healthy. Some don’t have the time to go to the gym regularly.

A woman had gone for a yogic massage at Agarwal’s School of Holistic Yoga and Ayurveda at Korgao village on the 2nd of February 2017. But what actually happened there was unbelievable. It completely shocked everyone who got to know about the incident.

Police Inspector – Rahul Parab – said the complainant claimed Agarwal also raped a Canadian girl who had visited the yoga teacher for a massage.

“The tourist arrived in Goa on January 31 to attend a seven-day yoga teacher’s training course with the accused yoga teacher. She came across the course which was advertised on a website and had registered for it online. The course package included stay and meals. The woman came to Goa, along with a group of seven persons from other countries,” a police officer told TOI.

The victim claims to register online from a website featuring the course at Agarwal’s School of Holistic Yoga and Ayurveda. On research, a particular website mentions Tantra as one of the styles of yoga at that school.
