This is a very basic seasonal shack about 200 meters on the left as you descend down to the main Calangute beach. Their speciality is Goan food, which is popular with the domestic tourists. So go for the Roast Pork, thin slices of roasted pork in a brownish-red gravy, which you can have with a bread or as an accompaniment to a Fish Curry Rice, the Goan staple dish. They also serve the spicy red-gravy Pork Sorpotel, Chicken Xacutti – made with coconut and spices, and excellent Goan seafood like Fish Recheado, Mussels Fry and Squids Chilli Fry, besides of course many other items. They also do reasonable North Indian dishes like Veg Jalfrezi, Aloo Gobi and Tandoori naans. This place is not for the European foodies, but they serve some decent Chinese. It’s one of the more affordable shacks in the area and they also have water-sport facilities and beach beds.
