The hot and Happening North Goa or the laid-back South Goa?

Goa is a beautiful land with a long stretch of coastline where you can completely rejuvenate yourself. The state is divided into two districts North and south. Being the smallest, yet taking pride in being the vibrant state in India.
It is sunny round the year in Goa allowing one to spend time at the beaches and cool off. North Goa has amazing beaches to relax, get a good tan and take a nice swim. Some of the famous beaches are Calangute, Candolim, Baga, Miramar, Anjuna, Morjim, Arambol and Keri.

There are many aciviities that you can indulge on while on these beaches. Windsurfing, parasailing, water skiing and jet skiing are truly good adrenaline boosters. There are many shacks that offer delicious meals in various cuisines (local, national and international). They are very popular with the tourists.

The night markets are one of the features of North Goa. These markets have ample of products from all over the world, that you can purchase . Other than that, good food, lovely music and not to mention performances by various artists creates a very good ambience. Absolutely brilliant for a night out.

The north of Goa is largely about partying, the most successful and leading clubs in the state are situated here. The party lovers and the electronic dance music enthusiasts bring out the modern zeal of the youngsters.

Moving towards the South of Goa, you will notice that the tourism intensity decreases. The beaches in the South compared to the north, are much more calm and quiet. Colva, Benaulim, Bogmalo, Palolem, Varca and Majorda being some of them . These beaches are empty and hawker-free, leaving you to enjoy its beauty in peace.

These beaches also have various activities that the tourists can have a good time with, like Kayaking, snorkeling, Dolphin Sighting and other water sports activities. Shacks that treat you well and serve a hearty meal.

North and south Goa are opposites of each other. When it comes to the south the people are more laid back and it gives a feel of the real Goa (culturally). Where as, North Goa is leaning towards commercialization losing its old charms.

While visiting Goa, it is better to pick a side depending on your personality, if you are a energetic person who seeks adventure or a laid back one that just wants to relax and have a good time. Goa is definitely a fascinating and thrilling place to be at, as it provides the best of both worlds.
