The infamous fashion designer Wendell Rodricks has decided to take  ‘time out’ from the fashion industry and focus more on his museum.

After 20 years, the global icon handed over the reins to his successor Schulen Fernandes on the ramp of Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016 (on Wednesday). Wendell trusts that Schulen will know his philosophy and carry on his legacy.

“We wanted to give it (the label) to someone who knows our philosophy and Schulen knows it very well. She knows what my philosophy is, so it was an easy transition for me to leave the label with her because I know I am leaving it in trusted hands,” said Wendell

According to reports, Wendell withdrawing from the mainstream will now focus his efforts on developing his museum at Campal as well as publishing books. He admitted his love for fashion will remain the same and once in a while, he may visit the studio for a couple of sample fits.
