The Yuletide Bazaar is back again this December and will run on the 3rd and 4th that is Saturday & Sunday, from 11am to 11pm at Green Acres, Tonca. The bazaar is actually a 2-day ‘Flea Market’ that consists of over 60 pop-up stalls. The items that will be available for sale include Christmas sweets, décor, art and crafts, Christmas hampers, clothing, local earthenware and even homemade dog treats.
Returning in a bigger, better and fun way.
There will be a food court that will dish out scrumptious food and desserts, filled with all sorts of delicacies from steak and grill to tapas and more. The Bazaar is just not about décor and hampers but also fun-and-frolic. Workshops and competitions for visitors will be a great opportunity for them to participate. These are pre-decided as well as some on-the-spot that will be scheduled at certain times of the day. On the second night of the fair, a ballroom dance competition will be the main attraction.
Its aim is to be a Carnival of Fun. There will be a kids area complete with carnival-style games, caricature artist, face painters, hair braiders and the like.
And that’s just the start to all the festivities you can expect at The Yuletide Bazaar this year.
For a good cause : The Yuletide Bazaar will be supporting a number of NGO’s including Bookworm, COOJ, Anchor of Hope and Animals Anonymous.
In addition to bringing Goa the Christmas spirit bright and early by The Circus Fleas company.
“We want to give young and emerging entrepreneurs an opportunity and setting for their brand. And what better idea to join in on, than the giant conspiracy of love – Christmas”. The founders of The Yuletide Bazaar, Jane D’Souza and Blossom Rodrigues equally solved each other’s problems when one had décor to sell and the other wanted a platform to do that.
Jane says, “The Yuletide Bazaar started in my yard last year. This year, to say ‘its bigger’ is an understatement. We plan for it to be a true carnival of fun”.
Jane and Blossom describe The Yuletide Bazaar as entering a “New genre of flea markets” in Goa. “The scale we hope to achieve and the type of bazaar we look at The Yuletide Bazaar being is unprecedented. The crowds will be entertained with a mixture of Goan music and contemporary beats. We are even throwing karaoke into the mix. But the piece ‘de résistance’ will be the reason everyone comes.”
“COOJ (Mental Health Foundation) will be there to talk about Suicide Prevention as well as sell Christmas Art and Crafts made by the special participants from COOJ. Anchor of Hope will organise a jumble sale to raise funds for their many causes. Animals Anonymous will talk about ‘strays’ in Goa. So this is an exciting time.”
