On  arriving at Cortalim jetty, a passenger boat will take you for the safari in the River Zuari going right into the mangrove-lined Cumbharjua Canal. The journey through the mangrove lined canal is full of bird sightings, some of them very rare. The Collared Kingfisher & Marsh Crocodile are the highlight of the boat trip.

You also get to see Greater Crested Terns, Gull Billed Terns, Peregrine Falcon, Eurasian Curlews,White-bellied Sea Eagle, Black-capped Kingfisher, Terek Sandpiper, Lesser Adjutant and several other species of waders.

The safari starts from Cortalim jetty at 7.30 am. The duration of the trip may vary from two and half hours to three hours. In addition to the collared kingfisher, five other species of Kingfishers are seen here.
