The one-of-its-kind museum, Ashvek Vintage World used to be installed through a bike businessman – Mr. Pradeep Naik in the year 2004. For 17 years, the museum has run its operations with solely one motto in thinking – to tease the curiosities of the younger with irresistible vintage cars.

The museum is a loving home to rare models such as a certain Mercedes Benz 170 (1939) formerly owned by the Maharaja of Sawantwadi and originally built with two engines, in a world’s first, to serve as a Nazi command car. The car also featured in a movie titled The Sea Wolves. The museum also houses a Chevrolet Fleet Master (1930’s Mafia Car of America), Chevrolet Blair and a 1928 Essex Super Six among other exhibits.

The museum doesn’t just preserve and restore the vintage automobiles in its possession, it also does the same for vintage cars privately owned by others. That’s some lovely dedication. Another catch about the museum is that their collection, no matter how beloved, isn’t hoarded.

You can even hire their fully functional vintage cars for movie shoots, weddings or simple joy-rides. Ashvek Vintage World is also a pioneer in organizing vintage car rallies in Goa with four already under its belt which include the Volkswagen Rally and the IFFI Rally.

They also undertake restoration of vintage cars belonging to other owners. A 1928 Ford belonging to Mr. Rauraje Deshprabhu of Pernem, as well as an attractive Austin belonging to Jaywant Chowgule are just some of the vehicles that have been restored here. AVW also serves as a great location for parties and get-togethers with a well-equipped hall on the first floor.
