Betim, a small fishing hamlet on the banks of the Mandovi river, is the ideal vicinity for working on that subsequent large assignment, beginning work on that Fortune five hundred companies, or even brainstorm on what the next massive aspect for the tech enterprise will be. And barabor, meaning ‘together’ in Konkani appears like an apt title for this new co-working area for it combines a total lot of cool elements.

Taking up house in Betim, a small fishing village simply throughout the Mandovi river from Panjim, in a superbly restored ancestral domestic with the imaginative and prescient “to jointly create a thriving neighbourhood of entrepreneurs and freelancers, in the pursuit of work-life integration.”

A clean, elegant shared workplace area that is both intimate and professional. It has all the aesthetic attraction of your preferred artwork cafe beside the fear that you’ll over remain your welcome.

All the perks of a setup co-working workplace besides the drawbacks of feeling you’re in a giant group or campus.

For the solo expert or digital nomad searching for a quiet and productive house for day work in Goa, or a longer period devoted desk, it presents the best stability between social, and no longer too social.

The founder, an equally well put together women named Liesel, decided to open the space when looking for an office to house her own wedding planning business, Knotted Up Weddings.

The empty family home of her husband seemed the logical option and yet the house seemed far too large to occupy on her own. And thus, long story short, Barabor Goa was born.

To reach the office one can either take left once over the bridge (old not new) on the way to Porvorim, down the hill looping back towards the water. Or better yet, take a quick free ferry ride across the Mandovi from Panjim to Betim where you’ll turn right once onto the main road. The house is hard to miss with its brightly painted entrance, a combination of a black & white geometrical pattern and bright blue murals. One might say the house stands out a tad from its surroundings.

The road itself undergoing endless renovations due to the newly constructed bridge over head. Yet once you’ve step into the space, you’ll forget there was ever any dust or construction on the way at all.

A day’s work at Barabor Goa costs as little as 400Rs and gives you access to a comfortable seat in their open office space with high speed WIFI, endless tea, coffee and use of their common kitchen and beautiful outdoor spaces.
