Cinemaniacs Film Club Hosts Special Screening for Children

In a heartwarming initiative, the Cinemaniacs Film Club organized a special screening of the beloved animated film Mufasa: The Lion King for the children of Margaret Bosco Bal Sadan. Held on December 27, 2024, at INOX Panjim, the event marked the club’s first-ever outreach program, spreading festive cheer and joy through the magic of cinema.

Assistant Professor and Faculty In-Charge, Agnelo D’Souza, emphasized the club’s mission of sharing the Christmas spirit with young film enthusiasts. He highlighted that Mufasa: The Lion King, with its powerful narrative and captivating animation, was an ideal choice to inspire and entertain the children.

Club Secretary Rameez Shaikh shared his excitement about the initiative, saying, “Our goal was to spread love, kindness, and happiness. Seeing the smiles on the children’s faces as they enjoyed the movie was truly rewarding.” He also mentioned the club’s efforts to ensure that every child had an unforgettable experience.

The event was made possible through the generous contributions of students and faculty, who covered the cost of tickets. In addition, the club provided a delightful experience with snacks and refreshments throughout the screening. Volunteer Siddharth Kittur played a pivotal role in organizing and executing the outreach program.
