DJ Ashton, popularly known by his stage name “FUSION TRIBE”, is one the most well-known names in Goa’s nightlife music scene. Currently based in Porvorim, DJ Ashton, with his strong passion for music and his innate sense of rhythm, has been setting dance floors alight for the past 2 decades. He is a very versatile retro VDJ, who somehow manages to keep the party going on until the early hours of the morning. From the most intimate private gatherings to the pulsating energy of high-profile club nights, his ability to seamlessly blend genres has solidified his status as one of Goa’s most sought-after musical maestros.
Childhood Ambition
DJ Ashton’s journey began with a childhood dream deeply rooted in music. From an early age, his singular ambition was to become a DJ and make an indelible mark in the music industry. During his teenage years, he used to accompany his friend DJ Joel to shows and events. He used to closely observe him doling out tracks on his DJ console and got inspired to try his hand at it too.
His Career as A DJ
DJ Ashton kickstarted his career as a DJ with performances at renowned clubs in Goa such as Club Tito’s, and Club Mambos. Later, he began performing at venues such as Cohiba, LPK, and Thalassa, and at events like Goa Food and Cultural Festival and OktoberFest. He was also the DJ for the Indian Premier League at Club SinQ and has been listed as the Top DJ for Wedding Events in Goa.
He has also performed at venues outside Goa such as Club Tonic – Hyderabad, Club One Lounge Pune, and Club Ten Lounge – Hyderabad, and at events by companies like WizCraft and MTV. He also performed alongside “The Doorben Band” of Lamberghini fame at JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity. Currently, DJ Ashton is a resident DJ at Club Leopard Valley and Club Cavala. Each performance of DJ Ashton, whether in Goa or on a global stage, contributed to his reputation as a reliable entertainer, delivering memorable nights filled with pulsating beats.
Remix Portfolio
A testament to DJ Ashton’s creativity lies in his remix portfolio, where he adds his unique touch to popular tracks. Notable remixes by him include a Moombahton mix of the Goan Konkani classic “BEBDO,” a bootleg mix of the popular chartbuster “Chaleya” from the movie “Jawan”, and a club mix of FC Goa’s Official Anthem “Forca Goa, Dii-Tekha / Tiki Taka Vamos Goa.”
Notable Achievements
Ashton’s journey is punctuated by notable accolades, including winning the All-India Foster DJ Mastermix Contest. Additionally, he secured second place in the Semi-Final Round of the All-India DJ Master Mix competition, further solidifying his standing in the competitive world of DJing.
Beyond DJing
Apart from entertaining audiences at nightclubs and events, DJ Ashton is also an entrepreneur. He runs BPM DJ Academy, a DJing school, where he imparts his extensive knowledge of the craft to aspiring talents. He also operates DJ Equipments Rentals Goa, an enterprise which offers top-notch DJ equipment to people on rent.
Future Plans and Words of Wisdom
Looking ahead, DJ Ashton dreams of opening his own night-club someday. He also believes that music is not merely a career but a way of life and plans to continue DJing for many more years to come.
