Goa Tourism is hosting a Freedom Ride on Independence Day, commencing from Panjim. The ride is being organized to give riders a chance to explore the true beauty of Goa including beaches, rivers, temples, churches and a lot more.
The Freedom Ride will host over a hundred bikers riding their speed machines. It will commence at 9:00 am on 15th August, 2016 from Paryatan Bhavan, Patto, Panaji, all the way to Shiroda Highway Junction. The secret route will be revealed to the participants only on the day of the event.
Registration for the event starts at Rs. 800 per person, if booked in advanced and for on the spot bookings the charges will be Rs. 1000. On registration the participants will be entitled to a T-shirt, snacks and a delicious lunch at Fort Tiracol Heritage Hotel, Pernem.
Sanjeev Sardesai, Botanist by Educaton, Graphic Desginer by profession and a Historian by passion, will be leading the group and sharing some of his insights into the rich heritage of Goa, along the way.
To add to the excitement, there will also be a quiz before lunch.
As a safety precaution all owners have been requested to take personal responsibility for their bikes. Rash Driving and consumption of alcohol are prohibited. Tickets to the Freedom Ride can be purchased at the Goa Tourism Development Corporation counters across the state or can be booked through their website.
