Students of the Goa-based Chowgule Center for Creative Arts (CCCA) will now have access to hands-on industry training of international standards, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world application in the rapidly growing fields of VFX, Animation and Game Design, thanks to a collaboration with AVGCI, a leading Hyderabad-based multimedia studio, that has worked on several blockbuster Hollywood and Bollywood films.
AVGCI is powered by Rotomaker, India’s leading visual effects company and has been involved in VFX and animation work for major films like the multiple Academy award winner Life of Pi, Indian blockbuster film Bahubali and successful regional Telugu films like Magadheera and Arundhati, apart from contributing to numerous other Indian and international projects in the film and television industry. Functioning under the aegis of Goa’s well-known Chowgule Group, CCCA is located at Chowgule Education Complex in South Goa adjacent to the Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), which holds the prestigious NAAC A+ ranking. For the last 17 years, it has been a pioneer in the field of creative arts education in Goa.
The partnership represents a significant opportunity for students pursuing careers in multimedia, according to Presley Fernandes, Course Coordinator for CCCA. “Thanks to the expertise of AVGCI, which has its presence across India, our students at the CCCA will receive top-notch training that will prepare them to compete on a global scale. We’ve always been committed to providing the best educational experiences and this partnership is a testament to that commitment,” he said, adding that the courses would soon be certified under the aegis of the Government of India’s Skill India Mission.
The courses offered under this partnership cover VFX, Animation and Game Design and will run for 11 months to a year. Students will be trained in various aspects, from rotoscoping in VFX to character design in Animation and the intricate processes involved in the domain of Game Design. These courses are designed to be industry-oriented, ensuring that graduates are well-equipped to enter the workforce with the skills that are in high demand, both in India and abroad.
AVGCI plans to offer internships and placements to CCCA alumni by providing access to live projects and mentorship with partnered companies, leveraging an extensive industry network and connecting them with local studios and production houses, ensuring valuable industry exposure and job opportunities.

The collaboration comes at a time when the Union Ministry for Information and Broadcasting has identified Goa as the host of a first-of-its-kind audio-visual and entertainment summit in November this year. The event, Waves (World Audio-Visual and Entertainment), will be held on the sidelines of the annual International Film Festival of India also held in the coastal state, in order to capitalise on the economic potential of Content Production and Innovation, Animation, VFX and Gaming verticals.
With admissions now open, CCCA and AVGCI are poised to transform the educational opportunities available to students who have cleared Class XII, providing them with the skills, knowledge and industry connections necessary to succeed in the dynamic and in-demand fields of VFX, Animation and Game Design.
