Kamat Hotel is right in the heart of Panaji, which offers a pure vegetarian Udipi-style fare. It is a popular stop for the usual South Indian favourites like Masala Dosa, Idli and so on. The thali priced at Rs.60 is very popular with the regulars. They’ve also thrown in a few Indian style Jain Pizza and Mushroom pizza. Their Lassi and sweets are to die for, but the juices fall short. You also have the option of making for the Chaat section or sampling their limited Chinese menu with inclusions like Veg Schezwan Fried Rice, Paneer Manchurian and Veg Cheese Burger. The prices are slightly higher in the air conditioned section upstairs, but the food is the same.
