Goa University's MA (Konkani) toppers to get cash reward

Deepa Lotlikar and Shilpa Raikar in the honour of their father Dr Harischandra Nagvenkar have donated Rs 1 lakh to Goa university's endowment fund.  The student topping the MA (Konkani) exam will be awarded the cash prize.

They have done so to mark the 75th birthday of Dr Nagvenkar, a Konkani writer. Dr Nagvenkar won the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Translation Award in 2000 for translating Ayalkkar (a novel). He served as the Principal of MES College, Vasco.
