Mass Communication Students of Don Bosco College visit Prudent TV Studio

On October 16 2024, the TY BAMC students of Don Bosco College, Panjim embarked on an insightful field visit to the Prudent Media studio. The purpose of this visit was to give students an insight into the world of professional TV studios.

The tour commenced with a visit to the primary studio where Prudent Media records its various programs. Mr Victor Azavedo, the technical in-charge, provided a detailed overview of the editing software and live-streaming tools used at the studio. He also discussed the channel’s partnerships with other networks for content sharing and distribution.

Following this, Mr Kuldeep Asgaonkar, the Associate Producer, guided the students through the newsroom. He highlighted the specific roles of editors, sub-editors, journalists and other professionals involved in the production process. He also gave a detailed walkthrough of the round table shooting setup, which is used for debates and discussions.

The tour concluded at the second studio, where child-friendly and educational programs are filmed. This section of the visit highlighted the versatility of studio spaces and the diversity of content production at Prudent Media.

Accompanied by Assistant Professor Ardra Naik from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, the students found the visit to be highly educational, gaining a valuable behind-the-scenes perspective on how TV channels operate in real time.
